OPEN BOARD SEATS ON THE NWSPNC BOARD
The Northwest San Pedro Neighborhood Council is looking to fill two board vacant seats: one at-large seat for the term which expires June 30, 2012 and one Youth Seat for the term ending June 30, 2011. Candidates must be a NWSPNC stakeholder. Download the application here. Must be submitted no later than September 20, 2010

Friends of Averill Park - Looking for Volunteers, Girl Scouts, Boy Scouts, Handymen/women, Contractors, Gardeners, Friends & Citizens to help with planting, painting, plastering, and habitat restoration. To be a volunteer you must please sign-up at Peck Park Main Office and take a "Live Scan" and with this you become an "official volunteer". This is the Harbor Commission's meeting that will be the determining factor, whether or not the USS Iowa comes to L.A. or not. If you can't make the meeting how about sending a letter of support to the Harbor Commissioners.
