Millions of Untapped Dollars Available for Students
The Middle Class Scholarship was established to provide relief to tens of thousands of undergraduate students with family incomes up to $150,000. This financial aid will help California students pay for tuition and other mandatory student fees.
In its first year of implementation, $107 million was set aside for the Middle Class Scholarship, but fewer students than anticipated applied to the program.
That means there are millions of untapped financial aid dollars still available for middle class students!
Here in the Assembly, making college affordable for all Californians is a top priority. That’s why we’ve tasked the California Student Aid Commission with revamping its outreach efforts and keeping the registration open for students interested in applying for the Middle Class Scholarship.
If you know an undergraduate student interested in attending, or already attending, a University of California or California State University school who would like some assistance paying for college, please let them know about the Middle Class Scholarship and encourage them to apply today.
