Caring for someone at home with COVID-19
For most people who contract COVID-19, the illness is mild. Unless otherwise instructed by your healthcare provider, staying at home for a full recovery is recommended by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC). Care at home can help stop the spread of COVID-19 and help protect people who are at higher risk for getting seriously ill.
The CDC lists four important categories related to at home care:
1. What to do if you are sick
2. Caring for yourself at home
3. Caring for someone at home
4. Disinfecting your home if someone is sick
It’s important to learn how to keep you and yours safe and healthy. We strongly urge you to read and share the CDC’s recommendations by visiting: www.cdc.gov/coronavirus/2019-ncov/if-you-are-sick
