Hahn Dear Mayor Hahn: RE: DEPARTMENT OF WATER AND POWER RATE INCREASES On February 9, 2004, the Northwest San Pedro Neighborhood Council passed a motion representing its position regarding the proposed DWP rate increase. It is the position of the NWSPNC that the City Council postpone its decision concerning the approval of the DWP rate increases until greater public discourse has been achieved in order to determine the DWP’s criteria for justification of the proposed rate increases, to allow opponents to present their arguments to the contrary, and to solicit greater public opinion especially of the neighborhood councils. This letter is being sent to you, Councilwoman Hahn, and the City Controller. We appreciate your assistance in this matter and constant support of the community.
