Harbor Beacon Park and Ride Slope Stabilization

The slope of the Harbor Beacon Park & Ride lot was damaged by heavy winter storms. The damage consisted of eroded section of the slope. A project was initiated in 2013 to repair the slope with soil nail anchoring. During construction, the soil engineer discovered that the fill of the slope was composed of building construction material which is not suitable for installation of soil nail anchoring. Therefore, a new project was created to address the site condition. A soldier pile wall is now recommended by soil engineers for stability of the slope. This project proposes to construct a soldier pile wall at the bottom of the slope, on the northern portion of the lot.
