PROFILE:
Barbara Schach
Barbara Schach has been in education for 33 years working in 3 school
districts. She has been in San Pedro at Taper Avenue Elementary School.
for the past 5 years. She has taught children in grades 1 - 8. She has
been in an administrative capacity for 9 of those years in 2 of the
3 school districts.
She has been very involved in organizations such as girl scouts, boy
scouts, AYSO soccer, and the YMCA. She has been instrumental in organizing
many programs within the schools that fostered academics and safety
for the children and adults. Some of these included a school to work
program, a school- business partnership, evening classes to assist parents
in helping their children with reading and math, and safety programs
for children to name only a few.
