PROFILE:
Jody James, Board Member
My family moved to San Pedro in 1989. We were an Air Force family
assigned to LAAFB and we lived in the base housing near 25th and Western.
We always expected our stay here to be temporary. However, falling
in love with San Pedro and the people here was easy. I painted my favorite
places around San Pedro just for myself so I could keep them in my heart.
When my husband, Ben, Col. (ret.) chose a second career after 26 years
in the Air Force we were able to stay here and I put down roots for
the first time in my life.
I want to take the opportunity to serve my community. I have BS and
AS degrees in the realm of public health and my hope is to contribute
to the health, safety and quality of life in our community.
