Motion on Additional Exit Lane from the 110 Freeway at Channel Street

Whereas, the Issues Committee of the Northwest San Pedro Neighborhood Council, in working with new developers (Target, Bisno and JCC homes) finds the need for an additional exit lane at Channel and Gaffey Street,
And Whereas, an increase of new homes and commercial space will occur in the near future,
And Whereas, the need to help relieve congestion for residents and businesses as Channel Street is the only local exit,
Therefore, Be it resolved that the Northwest San Pedro Neighborhood Council request Councilwoman Janice Hahn work to develop a plan with City of Los Angeles Department of Transportation and CalTrans to add an additional exit off ramp lane to accommodate increased traffic from new developments in the north Gaffey Street area. Motion passed unanimously. April 10, 2006
