Floyd’s Ornamental Iron and Y&S Auto

This motion instructs the NWSPNC representative to vote yes on the following PCAC motion which is consistent with our draft vision for North Gaffey:

Whereas, years of Port expansion and development has led to a physical interface with the surrounding communities that lack an aesthetic appeal and reflects general disregard for appearance,

Therefore, In keeping with a general policy of sensitivity for the need to landscape, beautify and generally upgrade all Port property where it interfaces with the community, the Port Master Plan Subcommittee recommends to PCAC that PCAC recommend to the Board of Harbor Commissioners that the Port implement the process to purchase all property currently occupied by Floyd’s Ornamental Iron and Y&S Auto Body (on the east side of Gaffey Street) to be used exclusively in support of the China Shipping Mitigation Proposal made by the Northwest Neighborhood Council and the previous motion by the Port Master Plan Subcommittee.
