The NWSPNC strongly encourages the grocers to continue making payments into the health trust fund to ensure its solvency, and so state their intentions to do so as a sign of good faith. Further, the NWSPNC urges the grocers to begin good faith negotiations with the aim of quickly negotiating a fair and reasonable settlement to the issues precipitating the strike. Finally, the NWSPNC commends the United Food and Commercial Workers Union for conducting a peaceful strike, and encourages all parties to demonstrate flexibility in negotiations once talks to end the strike have begun. ------------------------------------------Return to RESOLUTIONS.
